Welcome to Edmonton Presbytery!
The United Church of Canada is governed through four "courts": the Pastoral Charge (a local Congregation or grouping of Congregations), the Presbytery, the Conference, and the General Council.
Each court has authority for different aspects of the life of The United Church of Canada, although decisions can be appealed to the next court.
The Presbytery is responsible for the well-being and support of its Pastoral Charges, the placement of Ministry Personnel, and the addressing of social issues of regional significance.
Edmonton Presbytery consists of 29 Congregations in Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park.
